Glamdring is an ancient sword carried by Gandalf the White, who is an old but powerful wizard and friend to Frodo Baggins. Glamdring, a magical swords, serves Gandalf in his mission to aid the Fellowship of the Ring. It was made by ancient Elves and is inscribed with runes in the Elven language that say "Turgon Aran Gondolin, Tortha gar a matha Glamdring, Vegil Glamdring gud daelo. Dam an Glamhoth." which translates to "Turgon, king of Gondolin, wields, has, and holds the sword Glamdring, Foe of Morgoth's realm, Hammer of the Orcs."

This officially licensed replica of Glamdring comes with a certificate of authenticity and a wooden display plaque. Manufactured by United Cutlery.

I am very pleased with the purchase and find it to be a wonderful piece. It is obeviously very well crafted and looks almost exactly as it did in the movie. There was only one thing that I thought was odd. The color of the leather on the hilt is much darker than it appears on the website. But otherwise a fabulous and beautiful sword... This sword is really cool. The leather is, as said before, darker. But that's better that way anyway. Great item. Can't wait, to get that scabbard :).. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

My uncle has this sword. He got it from a shop in Ohio in 2001. But anyway, this is my favorite sword. It is a must have for any Gandalf fan... Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

I own this sword as well as hadhafang, sword of strider/scabbard, narsil, witchking, and legolas' fighting knives. I think they are ALL impressive and anyone who is a sword buff, collecter, or just a fan of the films or books I HIGHLY suggest for you to get them. Excellent craftsmanship and a great display piece, but also they work quite well as fully functional, ha ha I probably shouldn't say that. But eventually my hopes are for the full collection one day. You will not be dissatisfied...

This magical elven forged sword also glowed when orcs and goblins came near just like Sting. It is the most powerful sword in the book in my eyes due to the foes it has slain. Trolls, orcs, goblins, wargs, Balrogs,...you name it....Glamdring has cleaved them all in the hands of Gandalf. The leaf shape blade is PERFECTLY shaped, and the handle begs to be lifted off its plaque. You won't be sorry for purchasing this from CB swords!..

this is an amazing sword perhaps the best, i recived it as a surprise but i m a fan of rohan (eomer) and i wanted to know if United Cutlery are going to make Rohan shield and eomer sword an helm.
