This authentically detailed scabbard is a reproduction of the prop prominently featured in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, presented by New Line Cinema. United Cutlery Brands, industry leader in fine movie knife and sword reproductions, has meticulously recreated the actual prop scabbard, using the finest grade materials and craftsmanship of the highest quality available. Glamdring's scabbard is 39" overall and features genuine leather wrap and straps, solid metal collar, fittings, buckles, and tip with an antiqued metal finish. Glamdring was an ancient sword carried by Gandalf the Grey, an old but powerful wizard and friend to Frodo Baggins. A magical sword, Glamdring served Gandalf in his mission to aid the Fellowship of the Ring. The Glamdring scabbard is wrapped with leather that has been dyed blue in the same Elven style as the handgrip of the Glamdring, sword. Gandalf carried this scabbard until he died battling the Balrog atop Zirak-zigil. This scabbard is designed to fit Glamdring - The Sword of Gandalf (UC1265, sold separately).

This officially licensed prop reproduction comes with a certificate of authenticity.

I ordered and received this scabbard along with Glamdring. I prefer the blue to match the leather wrapped handle of the sword. An exact match, and perfect fit. What's a sword without it's scabbard ?! .. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

Just receive it this morning nice scabbard, glamdring fit so tight in it that it will stay on when suspended on the wall I cant stop thinking of gandalf in the moria trying to remove Glamdring from his scabbard with 2 hand and the help of Pippin.. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!]

nevermind it doesnt fit on the wall with the scabbard :) too large just a little piss off by the fact that i dont live in usa so I have to paid 80$ extra for it good item anyway.. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!]

I was a bit worried at first that the sword wouldn't fit, but after the shipping chills wore off, it slid it nicely. Fitting on the wall plaque is another concern since UC manufactured the plaque prior to any design for the scabbards. However, it seems to be stable there for the moment and I'm already considering the drilling of another set of small holes offset from the original in order to take the combination. Overall, a good acquisition and it makes the whole piece look so much more formidable...
